I have a couple of questions here...

1). What kind of enviorment does a corn snake usually live in?

2). What is a good humidity level for a corn?

3). i have a 140 gallon tank(40 inches high, 35 wide and 24 front to back) and was wondering what i should use for all that. ie;, drift wood for crawling and all that kind of stuff.

4). I understand corn snakes are from corn fields and all, can i use corn husks for a substrate?

40-60%(better at 50%)

yes. i used it once they loved it

just put some hides if hes small u need like maybe 3-4 for a 140g like 2-3 water bowls and a cupple of branches, (i think there drift wood go to a pet store and just look for branches(branches from out side not recomended) anda lot of decoration (there realy shy some times as babys and need to feel secure)
your tank is a bit tall tho pesonaly i dont think they need that much roof clearence, but if thats wat u got well u got it

Sounds like the perfect tank for some of the bigger arboreals...

You can use it for a corn... I suppose...but if it is a hatchling, you may have a heck of a time getting it OUT of the tank with a tank that tall.

I wouldn't recommend corn husks...especially hand picked...

Not only are they NON absorbant for the most part...if they are hand picked they can quite easily carry mites or parasites and infect your snake...

I use shredded aspen...it is aesthetically pleasing and very absorbant...no odor. You can use newspaper...or reptibark...or some other various substrates...DO NOT USE PINE OR CEDAR These can be deadly to reptiles.
