Exciting New Additions

I am so excited about the arrival of 2 new snakes to my growing collection. I will be receiving them on Feb 17th and the wait is driving me nuts. The pictures are from the breeder. I will take my own pictures upon their arrival and post them! I'm holding off on naming them until I get to know their personality a bit once they arrive. I have some exciting plans for them down the road breeding wise with my current corn residents.

Male Strawberry Anery, 100% het Amel

Female Caramel Motley 100% het Amel or Ultra

Golsama ...
It's an exciting time for sure! I only have one corn snake, but was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for him to arrive! Then when FedEx showed up, and I un-boxed him ... it was the wrong snake! Well, the breeder was more upset than I was and we got everything straightened out. Then I had to sit on the edge of my seat all over again waiting for 'my' snake to get here! (Because of scheduling on my end it took another 2 weeks)

Those are both super sweet. That caramel is so nice. Who is the breeder please?

I have a lot of respect for Sean at VMS, but his "strawberry" aneries are really red factor ghosts that may or may not actually carry the strawberry gene. At the very least, the strawberry isn't what make them so pink.

Killer pick ups regardless. :) They're only going to get more beautiful as they grow up.

Again I will reiterate, there is little to no difference between a strawberry anery and a hypo anery except at a microscopic level. You aren't seeing "strawberry," you're seeing red factor.

Thanks! I can't wait until next Wednesday when they get here. We ended up having a drop in temps tonight so to be on the safe side I'm waiting another week for better weather (fingers crossed!)

I definitely chose him for the red look regardless of his genetics (strawberry or otherwise). I fell in love with his color. I'm not very familiar with the Red factor gene but will be looking in to it more now. My breeding plans remain the same for him unless I add another snake to my collection (so addicting...)

Tell me about it....if I had more room I would probably have a hundred different corns but I have mine in 2 40 gallon tanks and they take up a lot of room!! I love the color of the first one for sure and like I said I have never seen another like it so that's awesome!!
