Don't forget Spike Lee tweeting the wrong address thinking it was Zimmermans, when I fact it was a womans house who could be in danger from a mob looking for justices?
Yep, forgot that one!

How is that photo disgusting? It's ironic if I do say so myself.Carinata, I find that photo disgusting. For you to compare Trayvon's photo as a mug-shot is exactly the type of ignorance that identifies itself as racist (you can agree/disagree/or cry and pout, but it is what it is). I find you far too un-becoming of a mature human being to waste any more time responding to you, and for your sake, I hope you grow up and learn how to use your mind independently from your behind.
As for the "race card" statements... again, not only is it wrong to say that there is such a thing, but also completely outside the point. I'm also curious why so many (as I've observed) defensive people (who happen to be white) using the term "race-card"... last I checked, Zimmerman didn't ask for that form of 'identity' (as considered by those with closed minds) before he killed Trayvon (based on prejudice).
I'm not out to share 'opinions'. There's a side that has much more evidence and fact than the other, and I'm simply suggesting that people use common sense to see that evidence. Racism is still very alive, and because of it, Trayvon Martin is dead. I really see no need for people to get defensive on behalf of this fact, and I find it only more affirming that this is a big factor in this case based on the complete cover up (and lack of an arrest) on behalf of the police.
It wasn't the Black Panthers though, and they didn't put a bounty on his head. What they said was that they were going to pursue a citizen's arrest if the justice system didn't fulfill their obligation to uphold the law and personally I think it was a smart move. Why pretend this wasn't race-related and if the threat of vigilantism leads to justice than it's a good thing in this case. Also, Spike Lee is definitely not a 'Black Leader' and he only speaks for himself. Giving out any address was very foolish on his part and it's why I've never really liked Spike Lee in the first place. He's a self-promoter and I think he's one of the sad few who use the Trayvon Martin killing for self-promotion.
As for the photo, no comment...We're better than this!.
Racist, racially destructive, counter-productive to a fair and equal society...To me those are collectively the same issue so from that stand-point I think it's important for anybody, black or white, to look at the real situation and understand that their were many unjust factors that went into this tragedy and also that these factors can easily lead to a similar situation happening again. I don't discount that their are people like Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton who perpetuate a racial divide and that's not fair either...To me a total win in this case would just be for Zimmerman to be arrested for his crime and to be processed in the same way that any other murderer is. Regardless of how large this case gets and how polarizing the two sides are the only thing that matters is that a boy lost his life...Gone forever from his loved ones who he will never see again on this side of things. It's a tragedy that has the potential to happen again and again unless the justice system itself is brought to justice and I think all his family wants is to know that at the very least his killer is paying his debt to society. They deserve justice and until they get it there will be people who ask why.Former NAACP leader C.L. Bryant is accusing Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton of “exploiting” the Trayvon Martin tragedy to “racially divide this country.”
“His family should be outraged at the fact that they’re using this child as the bait to inflame racial passions,” Rev. C.L. Bryant said in a Monday interview with The Daily Caller.
So if it comes from a black man is it still racist? Or just coming from me because I am white!

I was told by a college professor last semester that it is impossible for "minorities" to be racist. According to her, Racism is only possible for the race of people who hold power at a governmental level... Everyone else is prejudice.
I still do not understand what she was getting at, to me racism is something that everyone is capable... But, she insisted that only white people could be racist... Oh, and that not all white people are Caucasian, only those who can trace their lineage to the Caucasus Mountains.... She was Iranian I believe, from that mountain range...
Last time I checked I didn't get a month or a college fund.......
Oh, I agree.
I actually brought up much of the same stuff that I normally do.
Why is it that there can be African American only groups, or Minority only groups but if someone tries to make a fund for Poor White Trailer Park people (just and example, I know many people who live in trailer parks by choice, not because they can't afford anything else) it is suddenly racist?
