Exercise support group?

Well I was going to start running again tomorrow, but it has been snownig all day and we are expecting 8-12 inches...so looks like I won't be running after all. I'll have to find something to do in the house. I am starting back up on my "diet" today though.
 
I can totally relate to the strain on your knees. I have bad arthritis in my knees and the heavier I am the more they bother me.

I am finding it harder to motivate myself this time around then it was after surgery. I am really upset with myself that I regained weight and so frustrated with my doctor. Why, knowing everything I went through to lose the weight, would he put me on a medication that would make me gain weight. Grrrrr I do not understand why they give a depressed person a medication that sucks our energy and makes you gain weight.

I did it before and I can do it again!!!!!!! I will reach my goal weight even if it kills me! LOL

Too funny!! That's the gym we joined too. I was a member of Gold's in the past and wasn't much of a fan. I like the low-key, casual atmosphere of Planet Fitness.
 
I completed my fitness goals for this week, but I did horrible in the eating department.
I really need to get back on that part of it. Breakfast and lunch are easy, but it's when I come home for dinner that it's hard. Living with my parents isn't helping my eating habits. lol
 
I am on a low carb, high protein diet and when I make supper I will make mashed potatos and such for my family but I make myself an alternative to eat instead. It is hard when other people are doing the cooking though.

I love your green cheeks pics, so cute. Green cheeks are one of my absoulte favs!

That's how I feel about eating with my husband and stepson. They can eat twice what I can...NO FAIR!!! ;) I have to eat on a little plate and let them eat on the big plate. I don't want to gain weight.
 
I've only been lurking on this thread up until now, but wanted to chime in and say that I am going to Zumba class tonight (tons of fun if you can overlook the fact that you probably look like an idiot dancing around :) ) and then I am being dragged kicking and screaming to a class called "Cardio Boot Camp" on Thursday night (we'll see if I can even move on Friday). My goal is to either get to the gym or go on a long walk with my dog at least 4 days a week.

I haven't done any exercising yet...not until I get this molar taken care of. But sounds like some of you are doing really great! Karen, you walking tomorrow???
 
I've been out several times today shoveling snow. We've been getting dumped on all day and it's going to continue tomorrow. I feel like the kids but I'm hoping school it canceled tomorrow. LOL
 
Tina, I probably won't walk today because we had a sleet storm last night. Slippery surfaces and I don't mix. Thanks for asking! But I'll do my usual lunchtime weight workout. :)

Nanci, we just got dumped on again Thursday night. It was beautiful yesterday morning when I was out but I'm so over the snow!
 
I haven't done anything close to exercise in two weeks. My life as I knew it came to a screetching halt two weeks ago and for the first week it was all I could do to drag my butt out of bed. This week I will be packing up my house and prepairing to move so that will be my workout. :(
 
I have reaggravated my back, so I'm out of commission right now, too. Moving is definitely a good workout.
 
I'm over feeling sorry for myself, moved in to the new house (still tons of boxes to unpack and store), the end of the semester is in sight so it's back to the gym I go! I am starting back up with my cuz (workout partner) tonight!!! I'm sure I will be praying for death tomorrow.....wish me luck, I'm gonna need it.
 
Good luck, Josie! Take it easy on your first day back and work up to where you want to be! Tell us how it goes.

As for me, I still haven't gotten myself to walk like I should. Argh!
