Fake plant/flower styrofoam?

So I'm making my viv a bit more green and there was this old basket of fake flowers, and plants, so I pull out the ferns and there is the styrofoam in the bottom, if you've ever bought fake plants you probably know what I mean, the flowers fake pointy stem sticks down into the brick of styrofoam to stay in place. So I cut a small cube of it off, took the ferns and jabbed them into it, then buried the styrofoam with aspen so the ferns just stick up in the air around the log that's in there. The weird plant styrofoam won't hurt the snake will it? It doesn't smell or have and flakes coming off of it or anything. Thanks for the continued answers to my questions everyone!

Yea! I've gotten some old aquarium deco from a friend and i think I'm good! Just gotta get the snake, can't wait.

I love aquarium plants for deco, but make sure you don't use a fist "cave" or anything with a hole that the fish swam through. The snake may ore may not be small enough to get through, and you don't want a stuck snake!
