Favorite Current TV Shows!

Well, Survivor is over, and my favorite won!!! I have to watch the finale of Amazing Race- I was driving Friday night.

I'm watching The Taste- which I really like- and that's it.

I was watching The L-Word on Netflix, and it came to an abrupt end. But a good end, I guess. I just didn't know it was so few seasons!

I'm kind of thinking about maybe Hulu Plus, to try to get some current TV shows that take forever to make it to Netflix.

Right now I'm up at my Rich's, so I'm binging on cable!

Connie and I have been watching 'Till Death on NetFlix and it's pretty decent.

Also been watching Bridezillas. Not sure what to think about it, but had I watched that as a youngster, I never would have dated, much less got married. :grin01:

Do any of these sitcom shows really have a plot? :grin01:

The first season or so was about an older married couple having a younger married couple move next to them and the comparisons made in situations were right funny. With Connie and I being an old married couple, we really could relate from that perspective. Anyway basically just situational comedies lately (can't remember what season we are on now, but I think it's the third of four), that have been de-emphasizing the younger neighbors and concentrating on typical situations that an older married couple might experience. Plus they added a new character, which really seems unrealistic in how that came about. Does add some humor though.

Been getting a fair share of laughs out of each show, so it's been proving worth the time watching. But to be honest, they seem to be struggling now to come up with new material, so I don't think there is anything more than the four seasons offered on Netflix.

The funniest tv show I have ever seen, is either Friends, 3rd Rock from the sun or Fraiser ( my dad and me enjoy that!)

Currently it is Ascension.

I was just going to ask if anyone had watched Ascension.

After the first part (2 episodes I think? I'm not sure how they played it on TV) I thought it was kind of lackluster, average. After the third part (final episodes) I was liking it a little better, to the point that I at least want to continue the story so I hope they make more episodes!

There are parts/stories/plot points in the show that I really really like, but there are also aspects that annoy me. All in all I liked it well enough though.

I'll support any halfway decent show on Syfy, because that channel has really gone down the crapper and I'd love to see some more good shows on it. I still hate that they changed the name to "Syfy", so edgy...

I like the Walking Dead, and American Horror Story. My boyfriend and I watch Pawn stars, and Mike and Molly too. I think he just tolerates my other shows. He's not as into the horror/drama that I like. :)

Love Walking Dead and American Horror Story.

Nanci, I watched the first 3 episodes of AHS this season then the DVR went on strike and didn't record the 4th. I wasn't incredibly impressed with this season at that point, but I do want to download the episode I missed so I can watch the rest that did record after it.

What is your opinion of this season?

My husband LOVED "Dexter" but I never watched it. NUVO channel is running a marathon, starting Christmas day they are showing every "Dexter" in order. My DVR is running overtime, but I LOVE that show! I see why Michael C. Hall was nominated 5 times for the Emmy, but I can't blame the judges for picking Bryan Cranston over him. That is when it sucks, two amazing shows up against each other for the win.

Did you know that "Wizard of Oz" didn't win the Oscar for best picture? That was the same year that "Gone With The Wind" came out!
