Feb 5th Rocky Mountain Reptile Expo Pickups

I managed to spend less than $100 for animals from the expo today. Got some pretty cool little guys. I also got something from John (which I'm not including in this thread).

First up is my new Leopard Gecko. It's a female Blizzard. No name at the moment. Suggestions are welcome but it has to go along with the names Key Lime, Banana, and Tequila. She seems sweet even though she's shedding. Her coloring is really washed out, so I'll have to take better ones in the daylight.

Next I got some real cuties: Mourning Geckos! I bought three. These girls are asexual, meaning that they are clones. Too bad because I would love to find morphs of these. Not likely to happen I guess. It's really hard to photograph these guys. I got the best photos possible without a macro lens.

And lastly for this thread, a new Normal Stripe. This one is ph Blizzard. I'm hoping to possibly breed this guy to my other new snake from John. Not sure yet though. This guy is replacing the Normal Stripe I just sold to a friend, thinking I wouldn't need it in my breeding plans. Typical, isn't it?

I'm afraid to open the containers. Lol. I'm keeping them in a little deli cup for now I think. I'm still doing research on them at the moment (rather, I have tabs open in my browser about their care). I'm working on a post of the three animals I almost brought home, if only I could afford them.

You could name the gecko Colada (coconut) since she is kinda white colored. The key lime, banana and tequila names had me thinking of mixed drinks lol Pina Colada's are one of my faves.

Lol. That might work. I don't know how it ended up like that seeing as I don't drink much and when I do it's Jack Daniels. I was thinking of Lily or something purple-like.

Very nice. I was a 'good girl' and didn't come home with anything. But I certainly did want to pick up those Mourning Geckos.

Once they reproduce, I'll probably be selling a few. These guys are too young, so it might be a few months before they clone. I won't be selling them for more than the $10 I paid for, plus shipping. Though, you're in Boulder so maybe we can have lunch or coffee instead of paying for shipping. I haven't been to Boulder more than twice in my life, so it might be fun.

Will do. Just remember that they clone themselves, so you may become overrun too. I wonder if they can be fed to snakes?
