Feces or Regurge?

VICTORY

New member
Can anyone tell me if this is normal? My baby ate four days ago is at 85-90 degrees and yesterday when I checked on her in her container I noticed what I thought was feces. I t had the consistency and smell of feces and had been four days since her last meal. But upon further examination I noticed it appeared to be a half digested pinkie. The front half was gone and eroded but the back half was clearly distinguishable as pinkie legs, feet and tail. Is this normal? Do corns occasionally digest only half of their prey? Or was it just a four day old regurge? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

That definately sounds like a regurge. Perhaps it was too big of a meal. Best thing to do is to leave her alone and don't feed for about 10 days, then give her a smaller than usual meal (like a pinky head). If that goes well you can start her back up on her normal schedule.

Definately a regurge. I have just had this with one of my corns but the regurge was at least 5-6 days old. All that was left of the fuzzie was its intestines. Not very pretty! Turns out she had gastroenteritus, got treatment and is fine now. If your corn regurges frequently take her to a vet (along with a faecal sample incase they want to test for parasites). They will give you antibiotics or appropriate medication to sort it out. Good luck!
