Feeding Plan For Starved Snake

Thank you for the condolences. She came from a pet store that i knew was bad and i knew she was sick when I got her. I'm just one of those bleeding hearts who wants to try and save any sick animal I come across.

That's a cool avatar pic, Holly.

Thank you that is a boa constritor I found that picture and had to have it lol. And ya know what I use to be just like you see a sick animal and have to save it but I learn the hard way so I now only get healthy reptiles and if i see a sick one this might sound mean but I ignore it. I had sick snakes and reptiles and my vet bill was out of site and pay all that money and in the next 2 days they die. :(

That picture is a photoshopped normal ball python. It is not a boa constrictor.

Unfortunately, when we notice our reptiles sick, they are usually so far gone that we can't bring them back. If we could treat without increasing stress, we would likely e more successful.

I'm sorry you lost her.

I understand what you're saying. I've gotten better over the years and have a lot of healthy, beautiful animals. There's always that part of me that wants to save something though. I just try to strike a better balance now. We do a lot of fostering for rescue groups. That way we can help and I can get my nurturing fix, but don't have to shoulder the expense.

I think that's the key right there. She was doing better until I tried to bump her to fuzzies too soon. I should have just tube fed from the get-go. It would have been a lot less stressful than those force feeds.
