I recently got this new baby.. and will attempt to feed him tomorrow when I feed whiskey I got him fri.. Seems he has settled in quiet well not anywhere as jittery or defensive but im scared.. He is sooooo tiny he could probably curl up into a bottle cap.. Do I try and give him a pinkie or do I need to chop it up or what? Please help.. Thanks in advance..

I just got him and I got him from the petstore.. they got him thursday I got him friday. so they havent fed yet.. I dont have a digital scale yet but he is prob honestly bout as heavy or light as a piece of printer paper..

It's hard to advise without a weight, and without any feeding records. I'd say hold off until you can weigh him, but most hatchling corns can manage a day-old, 1g pink with no problems.

Nautley was 4 grams when I got him/her. I went to a local mom'n'pop petstore and left a request to be told when a mouse had a litter of pinks so I could get a mess of truly newborn ones. I ended up with 10, and euthanised them by placing them in the freezer. After that, I fed my little one once every 4 or 5 days using those tiny tiny pinks and cut slices in them while still frozen to aide digestion. I also left Nautley alone until the scale read in around 7 grams.

Thanks you guys I greatly appreciate it.. our local petsmart actually euthanizes their own mice.. IDK if all do that but ours does..
