FINALLY got my ghost stripe eggs!

zeewhiz

Call me Matt...
Hey y'all,

This thread is actually 10 days overdue, but I've just been too damn busy to get the pics off my camera. Anyhow, my ghost stripe laid her first clutch ever on Sat. 6/14. She laid 23 eggs, 15 of which were fertile. Not bad for a first timer, huh!? The fertile eggs are starred, and have slight discoloration in some spots, but I wasn't about to give up on them, so in the incubator they went. 10 days later, none of 'em have any mold yet, so I'm hoping for for the best! Of course, even if just one hatches, I'll be stoked!

She was bred to my pastel ghost male, so in reality the babies will be Ghost het stripe, and if any hatch, I'll be keeping at least a male and breeding him back to his mom when he gets old enough.

Anyhow, here's the pics:

I hope your trip to Six Flags was voluntary--! The show was fun, lots and lots of interesting animals, but not a lot of corns, and other than Jeff and a few other breeders, the corns I saw were normals, maybe even wild-caught. The "hot" stuff was really fascinating, and Jeff's presentation was really terrific! Believe it or not, I only came home with a corn tee shirt! However, I've made plans to go to Daytona in August, so very psyched about that!

it was totally UNvoluntary.....we had 6 free tickets given to us, and my wife, my sister and her friend, my step son, and my baby sister all wanted to go real bad, but I had no interest in going, esp with the reptile show in town. matter of fact, I HATE the place. however, the family won, and I got to drive.

Lucky you! ;) We went last summer--hope I don't have to go through that again, but our daughter is just turning 14 and so I suppose I won't be that lucky!
