First Babies of 2003!!!

What's one more???
Nothing fancy, but cute nonetheless! They are normals het snow and motley. I think they have a different look about them, though. Their base colors are really light.

Here's the first one:

patterns . . .

I would have to agree, number 2 has such a 'perfect' pattern. The saddles are so uniform.

Is there a name for the pattern on the first snake where the saddles blob (for lack of a better word!!) together like that? It's not really the corners like a motley. Is it something anyone has seen as breedable, or is it just some kinda weirdness. I have one amel with the same blob to three of its saddles. I kinda like it, and wonder what they would look like with all the saddles blobbed together.

Pretty little ones, glad they came out ok and even one with some aztec type markings. NEAT! Hopefully you'll still get an anery, amel or motley or all three.
*sigh*
First Kat, then Clint, now you,.... none of mine have come out to play. You all are big teases. I think it is time for an arm-crossed tantrum.
:D
Any day now......

Thanks everyone! Sorry for being a tease, Carol! BUT...once yours start hatching you'll have your hands full! You are going to have quite a few more babies than I am...so not TANTRUMS! :)

As for the pattern on number one, I was wondering the same thing. That one little section is quite odd (but cool) looking. It would probably look really neat if the whole pattern was that way.

And I've had several people comment on the pattern of #2. It is quite "perfect" isn't it? I haven't noticed that very often.

One more baby hatched, but came out of it's egg too soon. It still has a fairly large bit of yolk left attached to it. I put it in a deli cup so hopefully it will just lay around until the yolk is absorbed.

And 3 more have pipped. So there's just three more left to pip from this clutch. It would be nice if there was an amel, anery, or motley. I doubt that's going to happen, though. I did breed the male normal motley to an anery het amel also. So he's going to have two chances to show if he is het anery or amel.

Here's a picture of Baby Number 1 post-shed. It looks more like a normal now, but its color are still very contrasting.

Oh yeah - this little one ate already, also!!!

Update

Ok...Here's baby #2 post shed. She's quite a cutie!

Well, I ended up with 10 babies from this clutch. The only one that didn't make it (from the fertile eggs) was the one that died in the egg a couple of weeks before the others started hatching. I have sexed 8 of the 10 (all the ones who have eaten already), and there are 3 females and 5 males. I will sex the other two after they eat. I don't want to do anything that will stress them out and cause them to NOT eat!

One of the little males was quite feisty, by the way. He decided to lay into my arm with his little teeth...repeatedly!!! It's a good thing it doesn't really hurt when they bite!!!

They look great. Very pretty. I see they are eating well :)

I will be curious to see how my little ones that are hatching right now turn out. They change so much.

Well, three of them still aren't eating. I didn't put them in the picture. My second clutch is almost through hatching out. All of them have pipped but one, anyway. Only nine have actually ventured out so far. It looks like I will end up with 19 out of that clutch (if they all feed and survive). That means 29 babies total for now. I believe my snow corn is going to double clutch, though. She shed again and is quite plump looking. I hope the 2nd clutch is fertile. Last year she double clutched and all of the eggs were infertile.

Good luck with your babies! Keep me updated on how they are doing and what morphs you end up with. :D
