well it happend today guys, lol I got bit!
but go Figure it was by my little milk snake and not my corn..
lol Arber's got some attitude, I put him down on my bed with a stuffy to burrow in while I spot cleaned his box and when I was done and went to go and pick him back up he gave me a little nip! lol it didn't hurt at all but it did startle me, I could even see little beads of sweat start to form on my finger tips!

go figure it wouldn't hurt at all but mentally it was such a scary thing!
aha, just thought I would share!

It hasn't happened to me yet, but I keep waiting! I want to get it over with. I just wonder who, out of my 5, will do it!

I get bitten nearly every time I feed, you guys must be great at dodging!

Mine have never tried to bite! I get tail rattles from 2 but when you commit to taking them out, they just take off under the aspen. I've had poop from the milk snake but that's lessening each time now, thank goodness. I have another poser and hisser, but when you reach for her, she takes off as well.

I just hope I have a camera/smartphone handy when it happens because I'll want pictures. :)

spyderk- aha! yeah I figured it would happen eventually.. lol but it deff freaks you out wayyy more than it hurts! wired how the human mind works..

chip- aha yeah, he's tried to bite me once before at feeding time but I was too quick! he got me this time though! lol I'm going to be investing in a small snake hook down the road I already know it
 lol he gets crazy at feeding time!

oh yeah and my milk snake has only pooped on me once during his very first handling.. lol

Not fun aha but not horrible since he's just tiny baby and hatchling poop doesn't smell. ;)

I know what you mean about it startling you, I've been mock struck at right in front of my face. Twice by my overzealous bottomless pit of a corn snake and I don't even know how many times by my atb. Still makes me jump out of my skin every time. At least the corns only act that way at feeding time.

yeah^^^

its wayyy more mentally freighting then it is painful, its also like the human mind knows that we wernt suppose to be dealing with these animals.. I mean I'm not afread of my snakes in anyway, but when they rear up and stike it makes me jump and my heart starts racing! and I can't control it if I wanted too!

ahaha.. the human minds a beautiful thing!

My poor son has been tagged four or five times by his ball python. I suppose me laughing at him doesn't help...

Welcome to the club!

I just got bit by an adult kingsnake for the first time at work. He was a bit over zealous about feeding. Bled like crazy and hurt that night but really not bad at all.

Some of the people I work with are so afraid of the baby snakes. You really have to bit once to realize it's no big deal.

My ball Python decided my hand was dinner today. Not too terrible, but I think she's saying 'spend more time with your baby corns!' (managed to bruise the top of my hand, so when the band aid comes off, I bet that's going to be lovely for a while!)

aha yeah baby snakes arnt scary, and the bites absolutely nothing.
now I just need to be tagged by a adult snake and I will have faced this fear head on! ;)

they truly are rewarding animals to keep on many different levels,
