:roflmao: So this little guy was probably produced by Rich Hume. He is at least lavender motley, and Don S. and I think he is also hypo. I'll be breeding him to a hypo lavender, so we'll find out! If not, Don said he'd eat his snake hook! Shall we hold him to that? ;) Hoping to get some better photos once he's had a chance to settle in. I snuck in just long enough to get a few shots, but I think the bright LED lamp and weird black thing sticking into his tub were starting to stress him out a bit, since he started giving half-hearted tail rattles and making slightly-annoyed faces. We'll give him a few days to rest and relax before doing a proper photo shoot, followed by a nice meal later in the evening.

I love that first shot. What a lovely snake. Don is such a nice guy, you can't make him eat his snake hook:)

I suppose you're right. I'm hoping he might be het amel though. We'll also find out with this pairing. If I have space for more hatchlings, I might also outcross him to a normal with a few other hets (if I decide I can afford her) either this year or next.

Uh oh, looks like Fox has some kind of RI or other irritation. I noticed his nostrils looked a tiny bit red, and he has a quiet squeak when he breathes. The shredded aspen I used in his tub was the bottom of the bag and a bit dusty. I suspect him shoving his nose into it when he first arrived (see 3rd photo in the first post...) probably didn't help. I've moved him to paper towels and we'll probably make a vet trip tomorrow.

We're holding off on the vet visit for now. Spent a little quality time today on the couch and I only heard a squeak once or twice. We suspect he might be coming up on a shed, since some of his scales are looking a bit rough in spots. He's so pale it's hard to tell, but I'm keeping an eye out for cloudy eyes.

We only got one decent shot of Fox today. I think he's actually part milksnake, he wiggles so much.

He decided he would rather take the photos himself.
