This is normal behaver for them.

I agree with the above two completely, also remember to approach your baby slowly and with open palm up or a fist and gently scoop the little cutie up, and don't worry with consistent handling all will be cool, mine is now about a year and for the longest time now I can reach in and he doesn't get freaked out or anything, just a tongue greeting to make sure of who I am.

thanks

Ok I don't mean to always sound sick-minded. But when I read the topic I thought to myself "What? Does your corn try to hump your hand when you pick them up??" Sorry I'm so so sorry. :roflmao:

now now, family forum baba :grin01:

And don't worry about baby bites, Jennino. :santa: When I first met Contessa, I didn't realize she was biting me until I looked down at her. The attitude impressed me enough that I took her home. After just a couple of weeks of handling her when appropriate, she no longer even gets into strike position (although she will try to escape, given an opening).

Like the others have said, if you handle your baby when you can, she'll calm down by the time she's big.

Mauritius is calmin greatly i moved her into her larger viv on Sunday, she is getting used to it gradually. I think it will be a few more weeks till she comes out of herself in there though.

But when i handle her she doesnt bite when i pick her up now, and she doesnt move fast at all in my hands she just squirms along with no worries at all.

cool, what are tese bits of skin?

A few days after she has sheded I found a few bits of skin in her viv? they were not normal shed though, like her actual pattern its a little crispy part of her new skin that has come of? does this matter?

That is my California King snake, Onyx. He is almost 2 years old, and has personality in spades.

Most will likely tell you to check and double-check the shed skin before you toss it. If you find gaps or holes where she hasn't shed completely, you may need to help her get the old skin off. The method I've heard that I'll use (first sheds coming up!) is letting the babies crawl through a damp towel you're holding.

I'm sure someone else will come in with other favorite methods for you to consider. :)

The important thing is to get her "naked" so the old skin won't constrict, irritate, or harbor infection.
