from the Butter Striped Motley line

When I purchased my pair of Butter Motleys in 2001 from Mike Shiver, I thought they were beautiful Butter Motleys. Last season they bred for me and most of them were fully striped. When I emailed Mike, he said the female who started the line was an almost fully striped amel motley het for caramel. At least now I new where the stripes came from. When Mike sold his collection this season, I was able to pick up the mother of the line and bred my male butter motley back to his mother in hopes of getting fully striped Butters and Amels het for caramels. Here is the first baby to pip. He/she looks like they picked up the stripe thing. Now I have to hope for some butters again with the same degree of striping. Especially since the female butter motley that threw off all of those striped butter mots last season became egg bound on me this year and only got six eggs out. Thanks for looking.
