What sorta light should I buy for this cage? it has a heating pad
I'm going to get some substrate and a few hides plus some trees..

speaking of tree's i really need a good link to get some good tall tree's for this cage so my snake can climb up them .. I really want it to do that :)

Great snake, great person to buy from. NOT so great cage dimentions... I would have went with a longer, lower cage as floor space is more important to corns than height.

Corns are not an arboreal species but will climb if provided with the space.

wow, nice snake and nice cage. where'd you buy that from? as for editing your post, can't do it unless your a contributing member i think.

so your saying my cage isn't going to be enough ??

what would you get ? i want a fancy cage that looks good and makes my room look good too.. this is all important.. cant cost more than $300 for the cage though...

its a nice cage. corn snakes are semiterrestrial in habit, so provide vines or branches for climbing and if possible, shelves or resting places along the back wall. as long as there are two hides on the ground, especially during sheds, your snake will enjoy its home. Can you post the link of where you bought your cage from?

Its practically a 2ft cube. Great dimensions for a chondro or small arboreal species, IMO inadequate dimensions for an adult corn snake. If your willing to spend $300 on a cage, why not go with a 4ft vivarium or something? You then have the ability to "kit it out" much more appropriately.

That cage would be fine for the corn's entire life. The only problem would be that sliding glass doors aren't really escape-proof for younger corns. If hinged doors are an option, change your order asap or be prepared to use ugly tape to prevent escape.

Don is a great guy. I have plenty of SMR snakes in my collection, and they're all top-notch (imho).

i love watching my corns use their paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls that i hung in their vivs with string, so cute :)

24x28 inches is more than enough fora cornsnake. The height is wasted on the corn, though. This is pretty much what some of the other posters were saying. The height won't WORK, but it isn't needed.

Don does have some great snakes.
