Ghost Update

These two are still pretty small, but I thought I'd add a quick update since both of them shed recently. First up is the female (who insists on eating most of her mice backwards as you can see).

Here's the male.

Love those black borders. If they were any thicker you could call those things Ghokeetees.

Haha, I like that-it's got a nice ring to it. :spinner:

I'm glad you guys like them. The breeder said they were very nice before I saw them, but I didn't think they'd be anything too special. After seeing them in person, I really developed an appreciation for them though, especially the female. The male is already showing some pinkish hues (though they don't show up well in pictures), which I guess most people like in male ghosts. I'm more partial to the contrast and thicker borders of the female but I'm very happy with them both.

I didn't plan to breed them originally since there doesn't seem to be much of a market for the lower end morphs. With the selective breeding that's already gone into this line, it may be worth trying though. I know I'd like to see what they could produce anyway. One of my favorite things about them is their personalities. Both of them came to me as small hatchlings, but neither one has so much as rattled a tail at me yet. They seem to have a natural curiosity and calmness that I'm not used to in young colubrids.

Here are the newest shots of these kids. I'm glad you guys seem to like them as much as I do. Hopefully you're not getting sick of the pictures yet.
