Well at the minute iv got her in a 4ft, by 2ft wooden viv.(This will have to be changed to a 6 ft viv. as she gets bigger.) They need a u.v. light. Temps need to be about 83. They must have somewere to swim. And humidity should be about 80%. They eat crickets, locust, meal worms, wax worms, snails, worms, about 15% of there diet should consist vegetables. they also need hides and something to climb. This is just basic, and im sure there are things iv missed. They are certainly not a lizard id recomend to a first time owner.
 
When I got Butch and Sundance, as well as various huge tortoises rambling in and out of the conservatory, there was a huge converted wardrobe vivarium for a trio of water dragons. It was the best set up I've ever seen outside of a zoo. (So it was a lot like yours, dj, but humongous!)

Conversely, I've seen a shop with a horrid setup for water dragons, a huge viv about 5' square, but like a desert setup with dry branches and certainly no bathing area, just some bare branches, and the dragons were banging their faces against the glass and viv walls as they ran about
 
I just went to Petsmart today and saw a baby water dragon in a 20L, with about half water, with some sort of fog machine, with lots of vines. It looked nice.

He is a she AJ. lol. Thanks Janine, she's doing really well. Iv read that a healthy water dragon should be bright green, so i guess im doing something right. Im so happy with her:spinner:

Very nice. I always admire these guys when I see them. They look like a very sleek (almost feminine) iguana. I honestly don't think I have the space for their setup or the time to take care of them... so can I live vicariously through you?
 
Love water dragons! Yours is really great looking and an awesome set up. They're just too fast and too eager to bolt. Definitely won't hang out with you like I've seen beardies doing with people.

I'll never forget the sight of our WD, nose pointing almost straight up high-stepping down my hallway. She was probably yelling "Freeeeeeedom!" as she went.
