Golddust motley

Here are a couple shots of Mnementh, our hatchling male golddust motley. He's very quick, so they're not perfect, but they'll do for now. I'm quite fond of the pattern on his head.

Question, can you look at a hatchling golddust/golddust motley, and tell if it will have any or zero black traces of saddle-outline as an adult?
I have two GD stripes, and all the stripes I have seen are uniformly yellow/gold. But I have seen some GD motleys with, some GD motleys without the traces of black.
In the hatchlings I've seen, I've seen no black whatsoever.

Interesting! We have a female golddust motley hatchling as well, and tomorrow is feeding (and more photos) day. I'll get out the really-strong reading glasses (danged 52-yr-old eyeballs!) and scrutinize both of them closely, and will let you know. Dunno about the adults, these are the only golddusts I know personally.

Glen, use the search thread for golddusts, for all the pics of beauties on this site. And notice some adults have traces of black borders....and some don't. In fact ranging from heavy black trace, though all ranges of degree, to NO traces of black.
Some you can hardly tell from butter mots. Except for the ultra eye, caramel version, of course.
