Sorry to hear that Phil... I understand what it is like, when we lost Brynksie the Cali King, I was very upset. Hard way to learn about their escape skills, next snake I am sure will not have the chance to get out!
 
2 years ago I lost a snake for 3 months......
Turned up alive and well in the basement.
And didn't Tara and Lauren find their snow girlie after she had been missing for a year??
Don't give up!!
 
I agree with Dean on this one...I have a missing one as well, and a large-scale breeder here is keeping my hopes up. She dismisses painters tape because it's not that tacky and prefers masking tape. She suggests slapping it against your pants leg once or twice to reduce the tack, but not so much that it's not stronger than painter's tape. If your snake SHOULD get stuck to it (which is actually what you want) then olive oil followed by corn starch will remove the tape tack and your snake will be fine. Best of luck.
 
I wouldn't place a grave stone on your snake yet either.

I believe your snake is just holdup somewhere and not moving around searching.
When it get good and hungry it should come back out.
Skinny and dirty of course!
 
Wow. What a whole lot a encouragement! I must admit tho' I have kinda given up hope, but after reading some of your replies maybe I'm being too cynical. Thanx and here's hoping.
