GOOD NEWS, BAD NEWS !!

CRAZY BOUT' CORNS !!
Well, I have a male Tessera 100% het Caramel 50% ph Lava that I wanted to test out for the Lava gene this year, (which is both the male & female's first year breeding) so I bred him to a Topaz.

GOOD NEWS:
The male poss het proved out. He is 100% het Lava and giving me a couple Lava Tesseras 100% het Caramel :dancer:

BAD NEWS:
None of the Topaz from the clutch that hatched took on the Tessera pattern :awcrap:

Oh well, I guess it could have been worse.
I'm very happy to know the male IS het Lava and that I did at least get a couple Lava Tesseras 100% het Caramel.

Of course I will do the same pairing next season in hopes of getting that Topaz Tessera.

Very sweet, Walter! The Lava Tesseras look amazing on their own! There's always next year, right?

Huge congrats, man

Thanks Daniel !!

Yeah, I'm very happy with getting the Lava Tessys.
Next year, yes I'm hoping with another year of age and a little more size, I get a larger clutch from them that will hold at least one Topaz Tessera, if not more !!

Congrats on a nice clutch & proving out the het. Hopefully you'll hit target next year!

I like that lava lavender a lot.

Congrats! Even though you didn't hit the topaz tessera, you did prove the male het lava...so it's only a matter of time...unless of course your luck with a topaz tessera was like Steve's with an amel orchid; if that's the case you might be deaf and blind by the time you get one! :crazy01::D:poke:

That's awesome Walter!! Definitely can't complain about Lava Tessies :)

Thanks Steve !!

Nope.
I'm a little bummed I didn't get the crown jewel this year, but at least I know I have the shot with these two !!

So for now, I still have the one and only Topaz Tessera.

I would feel sorry for you, BUT Lava Tesseras are as sweet a Tess as there is, and het for Caramel as well.:dancer:

Congratulations proving out your Tess het Lava or should we say Tessera het Topaz!
