Baught this columbian tegu yesterday for my son. Was looking at the boas and pythons and the pet store guy showed me this guy and my heart skipped a couple beats. Got this pic on the fly just to post.

This one will get about 3.5 feet long or so. I think he is about 12 inches right now. The argentine ones get about 5 feet. He is actually really active. Just happened to be resting when I went to take some pics. When he gets out and about later, I will take some full body shots.
 
I am not sure about the columbian tegus like him, but I read where the argentine tegus will actually become attached to their owners and follow them around the house like a dog lol. I hope he is like that because that would be so cute. Even saw where some are trained to use the litter box or go outside when they have to potty.
