Hello

My Corn Laid her first batch of eggs in early may and unfortunately I lost most of them due to not having the right setup for them and they dried and died.

Anyway, it looked like she had finished laying that batch. Im pretty sure she had returned to her normal shape. Its been 3 weeks now and she has become fat with eggs again. I've been expecting them for 10 days she looks that ready to lay them.

I'm begining to think there might be a problem. She has shed inbetween her first batch of eggs and now and she is feeding fine. The photos are taken just before she fed. She laid her first batch fine in her lay-box and is often hiding in it (I know thats normal tho) The sphagnum often dries quite fast and since she lies on ot all the time it often becomes compacted.

Is there much I can do to help her please? From what I've read about other similar events here on the forum I am concerend for her.

Thanks
Steve

Give her a swim and then check she has a suitable place to lay her eggs give her another if necessary she could be holding onto them because she doesn't think the place you provided is good enough. Don't worry dry her off after the swim in Luke warm water then leave her alone and don't bother her if she is kept with other snakes remove them as they might be stressing her. If she hasn't laid them within a couple of days tell me and I will tell you what to do. Good luck.
