Just wanted to show off my salmon snow from Dave Partington. He just might be my favorite corn right now (or is it my "cherio" pattern we sunkissed tessera, or my magical glowing orchid?). Ironically he doesn't really have a salmon color anymore but is instead pink, yet the camera insists on making him salmon! He would not sit still though. I tried covering him up and letting him calm down but he was having none of that. He is not flighty but just moves at a constant slow deliberate pace.

For some reason his green "disappears" from the photo when I take a whole body pic.

"You will never photograph me accurately!"


"Let me out, I promise to sit still until right before you snap a decent picture!"


This is probably the closest to his actual pink and green colors, but is blurry :/


I think he will make beautiful babies with my snow tessera someday (she has salmon influence).
 
Wow - that is a really, really pretty snake!! The closer parts on the "blurry" photo are a little fuzzy, but the farther away parts you can see the green and pink :)
 
Thanks. His name is Mastermind because he always acts like he has plans. I also have an unusual looking "??? snow" female I may pair him with. I bought the unusual snows as a pair but the male unexpectedly passed (extremely horrifying experience with that breeder who also sent me another sickly animal that died. Out of the more than 20 snakes I have owned over the last 20 years, those have been my only premature deaths. But this isn't the place for that story, and it wasn't one of the trusty members of this forum. I didn't make a bad guy thread because I did not even give them the chance to "make it right" and am not interested in owning one of their animals).

Hopefully some of her offspring will have her look or be enhanced by this stunning little guy's genes. I also have a crazy colorful coral snow male that might be a good match for her. I have plenty of time to decide!

She is very pretty too!

It probably wouldn't hurt to get a fecal on her, just in case there is something going on with the animals from that breeder.

Yes, it was very upsetting :/
They were both very sweet babies but one of them should never have been shipped to begin with.
I hate to bring $$$ into the equation but I was willing to just take the $200 overall loss rather than risk getting unhealthy "replacements."
 
I saw an interesting scaleless cornsnake at Daytona. Pure white, with key lime green spots, the shade of your boy's belly. I couldn't figure it out. It was a SNOW. Not a trace of pink.
 
Hopefully I can go next time! My partner is terrified of reptiles but I am sure they can entertain themselves elsewhere :)

I don't blame you. I know you didn't talk to the breeder about it, but do they have a "no refund" policy? If not, I would have sought a refund, and explain concerns about them being unhealthy, being the reason you don't want a replacement.

All reptiles, or just larger, more intimidating ones?

Dux- there's the ocean. Your partner can go play with the nice little sharks and dolphins.

I'd be just as tempted to sit at the beach as to check out reptiles. LOL

Interesting. I wonder how that will look as an adult.
