He grandstanded. They will pass the ban and he gets what he wanted or they won't and he will blame the GOP hoping to take seats during midterms. The pOTUS has nothing to lose. :mad:
 
An AW ban will NEVER pass the house. Well, barring another tragedy between now and when it comes to vote.

What I find so wrong about an assalt weapon ban is that back in 1997 after the last ban was in effect(1994-2004) We had the bloodiest bank robbery in american history. Does anyone remember the 1997 Bank of America robbery/ shootout in North Hollywood.

I also loved how he brought kids on the stage with him during his proposal. Hmmmmm just like someone did way back when..... His name was Hitler. Yikes!!! Great move Mr. President..

It's all high fives and cool that he used real kids to politicize. But the NRA runs this ad that merely mentions his kids and the MSM goes nuts about how it's disgusting and out of bounds to use his kids. :shrugs:

 
Eh, you keep it, there are lots of good quotes for me to choose from. Our founders were not men of reserved opinion! :)

Interesting survey - I wish the Capitol oligarchs would pay more attention to the people who have both significant insight and a critical stake in the outcome of gun control discussions. Unfortunately, we live in an era where athletes are considered subject matter experts outside their sports; anyone can have an opinion, and of course his or her opinion is right because it IS, not because of any evidentiary basis that may support it.
