Gus is home! I am less of a failure!

Old enough to know better
Good news! I was just drifting off (got off work early and just felt so sleepy) and my husband came into the bedroom loudly (he is usually so quiet I never hear him) and shook my leg and startled me, I sat up and he said "missing something?" and he is holding Gus!!! Gus was behind an old computer and some other small boxes in the computer room right around the corner from his viv, Jim was on the computer and all the cats were very interested in something in that corner. I am glad he is so brightly colored (Amel stripe) because he was easy to see back there.

Oh, sighing with relief, I have the best husband and the 6 greatest furry detectives!

Glad he's ok. How did he escape? Are you using any clamps?

No, no clamps. It's one of those lids that have a hinge so I can open the front and the back separately, and I have 4 block pavers from our patio project that weigh about 5lbs each on each corner, but last week after dinner I didn't put the pavers back on the front. Gus was able to reach up and lift the lid slightly and escape from a corner.

Already on my list of things to do is to pick up velcro straps and put
them on every viv. Just slapping myself on the head and saying "DOH" a lot!
