Some snakesdon't mind, others become VERY defensive when blue.
Here's a couple things to consider before you decide if you should attempt handling or not:
1-when a snake's eyes are deep in blue, their limited vision is even further limited. They can't see very well at all, and may become defensive/aggressive at any sign of movement.
2-A snake's skin becomes much more sensitive during the blue phase, and for a short while following the final shed. This sensitivity can sometimes lead to a normally docile snake becoming aggressive "for no reason"...really, the reason is that your hands on their new skin is uncomfortable, and may even be sensitive to the point of annoyance or slight pain.
Some snakes have no problem with being handled during a shed. My corn doesn't mind one bit. In fact, she will press her face into my palms to start her skin peeling back, when she is ready to shed. She is simply that docile.
Other snakes do NOT enjoy being handled when they are in blue. They are sensitive and mostly blind and, really, you can't blame them for being a bit grumpy.
