Sorry, Fred, I should have ID'd that snakey. It's a smooth green snake, Opheodrys vernalis.
I rarely find tiny ones because they're so hard to spot in the green leaves, usually I only notice larger ones. They hang out in the grass and bushes. This one was easy to spot because it was on concrete at the shop, not a good place for a little snake to be.
I took it to the rear of the property and put it in the trees.
Check out how it looks like the green twigs.

And here's a shot of it leaving, it looks like a tiny vine.
