Has my snake not shed yet?

Kind of a weird one, but I have a 'care/record sheet' when I bought my snake which is basically a record of when he was fed, how he has fed and by whom (either supplier or the shop itself)

There's a box at the bottom for if the snake has shed - nothing. He was born on the 06/07/2013 so it makes him roughly just over 4 months old. Should he have shed now? Or am I just being silly? Only reason I worry is because I bought the snake from a store, not a breeder (I know, I know) and well, store bought snakes haven't had the best reputation and he looks quite small for his age.

I would say they neglected to check the box for shedding. Your snake had to have gone thru at least one shed and probably has gone through a few more.
Snakes shed at different paces. I have some hatchlings that eat twice, shed and repeat that over and over and others that I start to wonder if their ever going to shed.
Nothing wrong with purchasing from pet stores in general. I'm impressed they kept records !

Nagini is lucky to have you to give him the care he needs to thrive.

At 4 months it's hard to tell. If he's grown much then he might have shed once or twice and they just neglected that section. But it wouldn't be too surprising to hear that he hasn't actually shed.

Many pet stores put several corns in the same enclosure (don't get me started) so they probably couldn't tell who had shed and who didn't which would explain why there is no data.

When he starts looking dull and his eyes look cloudy, that is a sign that he will shed within a few days. Once he does shed, examine the shed very carefully and make sure the eyecaps and the tail shed completely. If not, use the search box and ask about bad shedding. It will tell you how to complete the shed.

Good luck!

Thanks for th reassurance guys. I mean don't get me wrong the snake seems like he's in good health but like you said Smigon, they were in little boxes under a shelf with no light or anything o_O

I've changed his diet from 1 pinkie every 7 days (which the store told me to do) to 1 pinkie every 4-5 days so hopefully, this will make him a nice size as he grows.
