Hey i breeded my corns and unhappy to say but all teh eggs died off but one. tehy died off because they were not found untill maybe a week after they were laid. This last egg has been healthy ever since and is expected in about 2 weeks. I was wondering once its hatched if it can go straight into a 20 gal viv or should it stay in something a little smaller like 5- 10 gallons.

I would start with something smaller till you get your little one eating and know how it is reacting to everything. Then move him to the 20 gal. But, when you do, make sure that you have plenty of hides, and a shallow enough water dish so the little guy can get into it.

BTW...congrats. When were the eggs laid?

well im pretty sure the end of feb maybe the very beginning of march around there though...im so exited i cant wait till the little guy hatches hope its a female thx for ur help as well :)

You are welcome.

Eggs will normal take around 60 days to hatch. So, you should be seeing the little guy around the begining of may if everything goes right.

I find the best thing to house neonates is a small plastic shoe box of about 6" by 12". Most pet shops sell such containers. Their about the same size and have an airated lid, with a small access hatch and a hole for the heatermat cable.
Sorry the pics are not great but you should get the idea.

The round one that you are asking about would be just fine for housing a hatchling. as far as time goes in that container you should be able to keep your hatchling in there for 6 to 8 months, depending on growth rates. After this time, you will want to move him into a larger enclosure.

Looks grand to me, 6 to 8 months sounds right. Just make sure that the slits in the lid are not big enough for him to get. Their great escape artists.
