Already did this once, but didn't do a very good job. I'm new to corns, but not really new to snakes. Years ago, I had a redtail boa hatchling that I had for a year or so that I ended up giving up to someone that knew what they were doing. Looking back, I made so many mistakes with it that it's rather embarrassing. Decided a few weeks ago that I was going to try again with something a little more beginner-friendly. So I read and read and read some more, watched YouTube video after YouTube video, and took the plunge again. My first corn arrived today, and man is he an active little guy. I looked at about 4,692,520 pictures of all the different morphs and out of all of them, the regular ol' normal wild-type was the one I liked best. So without further ado, here he is!

Cute little guy! Something seems different about his pattern, maybe masque or banded or both. Does he have belly checkers?

Welcome to the forum!

Hard for me to tell. Since he just arrived in the mail today, I've been fighting the temptation to get him out and hold him, although he sure seems to be settling right in. I'll make sure I check his underside out real good here in a few days and see what I find.

Thanks for the welcome!

It must be. I watched him bebop around his cage for awhile last night and didn't notice anything off about him. I hope not, anyway. Now you got me wondering. I'll check him out again tonight.

It's possible he has a very miner kink - but that really should not have any detrimental affects on him. Also, its possible there is nothing, and it is just from the angle the pics are taken at. So I wouldn't worry too much.

Looked him over real well a little bit ago and I'm happy to report that his neck is perfectly straight! And also, he took his first pinkie!

Thanks! I was thrilled! I found out after I'd bought him that he was a hatchling that hadn't even had his first meal yet so I was a little nervous. Thankfully, he took right to it!

Hmm, shame on the seller. They should have been up front about that even if you're an experienced snake owner. Glad he's thriving thus far though! And many welcomes to you!

Thanks! I'm finding that I'm learning a lot on the fly here. Should've asked that question before I handed any money over.
