Hello everybody, the BC Reptile Club (BCRC) is based in British Columbia, Canada. We are pleased to announce the launch of our brand new website!

HERE --> www.bcreptileclub.ca

Feel free to have a look. Bookmark the website if you'd like to keep up-to-date with all things BCRC!

The BC Reptile Club (BCRC) is a provincially registered non-profit organization which was formed in 2008. The club was formed in part so that reptile keepers across BC would have a unified voice in the proceedings leading up to the new laws that came into effect in March 2009 regarding the keeping of exotic species. The BCRC also helps provide a network of information for the general public and anyone interested in the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians.

MISSION STATEMENT:
1) To promote public awareness of reptiles and amphibians as pets.
2) To promote municipal awareness of reptiles and amphibians as pets to local councils, and encourage them to amend their bylaws to fall in line with provincial guidelines.
3) To educate the public in the conservation and husbandry of these animals.
4) To provide knowledge and assistance in all areas relating to reptile keeping, with a focus on responsible pet ownership as allowed by the laws in the province of British Columbia.

Our forum grew to over 600 members in the first year alone and continues to grow on a daily basis. Many of our members have decades of experience and accumulated knowledge in working with these amazing animals, and our combined knowledge base is ever expanding as new members join and share their experiences.

Once or twice yearly, we host BC Reptile Club Expos. The Expos not only give local breeders a place to display their available animals, they also provide a place for the general public to come see these animals up close and learn about responsible reptile keeping. As well, the Expos are a place for reptile keepers of all levels to network in person. At the Expos, we also have raffles. Vendors from around the lower mainland donate prizes to be raffled off. 100% of our raffle proceeds go to locally registered non-profit reptile rescue and adoption agencies.
