I'd like to introduce myself (Olivia) and my dear Evelyn to all of you wonderful, knowledgable people.
I have always loved snakes, but until recently, I couldn't stand the idea of feeding them. (I'm way over that now). So I set off on my snake journey, reading about and researching species and personalities, and stopped in to read this forum along the way. I finally settled on a corn snake.
Looking at all the morphs, I fell in love with the pictures of adult charcoals. Local leads didn't pan out, so once again I turned to the internet.
I got Evelyn a couple weeks ago from a lovely breeder in Texas. She is still just a baby- D.O.B. 8/6/15. She arrived safe and healthy, and has proven to have a wonderful temperament. My profile picture is of us watching TV. She sat on my shoulder for half an hour, then snaked down to lay in my lap under a blanket for the rest of the evening.
I love her dearly, but she's already given me a couple heart attacks by escaping her tank a few times (especially scary as I have 3 cats and a dog), and waiting through her first shed has been nerve-wracking. Luckily for me, she has no reservations about taking thawed pinkies!
We hope to meet many wonderful people around this forum, and we would love to be able to rely on you for any problems we might have!
