HELP! Escaped Snake!

KristenAndCleo

So I've had Cleo now for a couple of weeks, she's about 14 inches long and still pretty little. Long story short, I'm a sleepwalker. This morning I woke up with her substrate in my bed and some of her scales (she's in the middle of a shed) along with a fuzzy "dream" of her being in my bed in the middle of th enight. So now she's on the run. I live in the second story of a two story house, and unfortunately the crack under the door is big enough for her to crawl under.

What are common places that corn snakes hide, and are there any tips/ways to get her out of hiding or to lure her back to me? And is it possible for her to have gone down the stairs to the first floor? I want her back!!! :(

Thanks so much, I was so desperate I posted right away without searching. :uhoh:

**UPDATE**
I found her. :crazy02: She had crawled downstairs to the very back of the house--the furthest possible place...go figure.

That is bizarre! I'm just curious, are you taking a sleep aid? I've heard sleepwalking is a side effect of one of them, Ambien if I'm not mistaken. I am glad she turned up.

wow you're so lucky to have found your little snakey! That's wild about you sleep walking...or should I say sleep snake handling? hehe. :)

I had a friend who was a sleep walker. One night, while sleeping, she put on a pair of roller skates and got in the shower. Her mother woke up because of all the racket and found her lying in the shower, trying to roller skate up the shower walls. Luckily, she was not injured.

A lock might save your snake from more adventures. Many lost snakes are never found or are injured, so maybe some kind of coded lock (like a bike lock) may be a good idea.
