HELP me plz

I have my snakes in a large viv as well. With plenty of hides and they eat great, shed great and getting more relaxed to me every day. I don't like seeing snakes in tiny plastic boxed with 1 hideout and a bowl of water untill there older.
As we speak, one snake is chilling in the hideout, and the other is cruising the viv. Climbing the glass, taking a zip of water crawl all over the branches. In short, pretty natural. Even a snake likes to take a stroll and stretch the muscles.

A lot of hatchlings do thrive on security so although it may seem cruel to us it is just selfish to put them in something that looks better when you are possibly compromising the health of a hatchling.

Chris you seem to be $hit stiring a lot on this thread, why don't you just let the experienced keepers handle this. You said yourself you only have one snake so why get so involved in a thread which you cannot help at all? No-one was picking on him just answering the questions he asked. All anyone was saying was if he wasn't going to accept the advice given to him then he shouldn't of asked. Chris how do you kno the 5 snakes in together were in good health? Did you observe them for any length of time? Do you know what to look for in a sick/stressed snake? Had you seen them all feed or do you know when they last fed?

Matty, most shops are just trying to push a sale and try to keep as many herps in as small a space as possible. This is why they would keep 5 in one viv! By keeping that many in one viv they can cut down on costs and thus make more of a profit! Just because a shop employee says something doesn't amke it gospel. Why won't you accept he may be wrong if almost everyone on here says the opposite? Surely if the majority say something there must be some truth to it?

I've gone on long enough so I will say one last thing, CornCrazy tried to help you as did Cornfan and you just threw it in their faces! If I was you I wouldn't expect more help from those 2 at least nor most of the people who read this thread!

Dam chris do you understand snakes at all?????????????????????
Most hatchling snakes when kept in large vivs suffer stress and refuse to eat, sure theres the odd expetion to the rule but in genral they thrive in indervidual enclosures that should grow in size with the snake.

Is it fare to put a hatchling into the viv that will be its home for the rest of its life?

Once again i see your very uneducated!

i never said anything about size of viv did y? you divy

Sheesh, this thread almost makes me ashamed to admit I'm English! Mind you, I guess every country has it's share of idiots... :shrugs:

Divy? now would that be why you were thrown of other forums, trying to act the expert and insult very experienced keepers when they politly corrected you?

Very sad and a sign of a very shallow person and one who does not want to truly do the best for the animals!

jane you have many great keepers in the uk, and i consider you along with tanya and a few others to be top of the list when it comes to corns.

Chris is a insult to all good keepers, this has been proven on other forums and i can only apploigise to all the decent caring memeber of this forum for this idiot coming here!

You yourself admitted your lack of knowledge regarding corns on other threads on this site.

Mad man, whomever you are, thank you for that.

Yes i did you have proven it else were and your posts here have also shown that! you have only ever kept one corn and not for very long yet you act the expert which is clear to see you are not!

this thread almost makes me ashamed to admit I'm English!

Don't be. You guys make some dang fine ales. (I'd throw in Guiness but my Irish forefathers would turn over in their graves if I associated something so Irish with the English.) :D

I totally agree madman, I would love to know who you are but alas I guess your true identity will remain a secret forever. I want you to know that when I grow up I wanna be just like you!

yo mad man 666 u are a divy and chris sed nothin about the size of the viv cause my viv is 7 ft long and 5 foot high so dont start dissen me mates ok and by the way i never threw nothin in any1's faces but when u go to the boss of the shop who has became a millionare by selling and breeding snakes tells u sumthin u just might think they r rite ok so bak off DIVY and if u call chris uneducated wot u call me cause i have left school with 1 gcse ok so once again BAK OFF oh yeah 1 more thing safe chris

Why would a millionare work in a shop? And who are you calling a divy is it just madman or me aswell for saying this millionare miht just be wrong on a single occasion?

well he wouldnt become a millionair from sittin on his arse ... and i never disreguard knoledge given to me i just dont except it being forced on me

Matty, with regard to the boss of this shop of yours, if he has become a millionaire by selling and breeding snakes, I reckon that makes him a skilled businessman, or a man who is skilled at taking advantage of uneducated people. Don't hold him up as a god simply because he is rich, that means nothing. You may only have 1 GCSE, but I would hope you are capable of learning, which is more than is apparent with some people I could mention.

CAV - proper English beer is great, I agree, and you're right about guinness - it's a very Irish drink, totally different when bought and drunk in Ireland too!!

Chris, I believe we said Matty was the one who disreguarded the info unless you are the same person under 2 names???

I didn't say he just sat around just that I doubt a millionare would work in a shop, he would probably have people to work for him don't you think?
