I will be purchasing 2-4 babies in 3 weeks from a local show.
The snakes I am interested in are (in no particular order) anery, blizzard, charcoal, bloodreds and the snake that looks all Orange and white (Candycain?)

I am planning on breeding them (years from now) and I know very little about genetics at this point. considering the snakes I have listed which pair will produce a variety of differet lookin snakes (If any?)

get a male granite (blood charcoal) and female snow(amel anery) and female amber. then breed the male to both. then breed the babies together and get crazy stuff...

Thanks

If I bred the male granite (blood charcoal) and female snow(amel anery) and female amber. will their babies all look normal? and be het for al those trats?

You could do something cool with a bloodred/lavender trio, too. You'd want to get hypo in there, somehow. Maybe stripe too! Get a more expert opinion than me, though.

Bloodred charcoal is "pewter". I believe that a granite is bloodred anery.

You could get a bloodred het charcoal and a charcoal het bloodred then when you breed them you'll get bloodreds, pewters, charcoals and normals het for bloodred and charcoal.

Or do the same with anery het blood and blood het anery, etc. Assuming you can find the proper hets.

From your other options listed, blizzard is charcoal and amel so if you had a charcoal het amel nd bred to the blizzard you'd get blizzards and charcoals. But that;s just more of what you already have.

A granite (blood anery) bred to a snow (amel anery) will result in anerys het blood and amel

would finding bloodred het charcoal and a charcoal het bloodred be an improbale find?

Not to hard to find.. But your likely not going to find them at pet stores unless they are totally specialized ..

People here have pewters and charcoals het blood for sale from time to time..

Kathy Love has Bloodred het charcoal listed on her site right now, I saw it this morning. Her charcoals listed there though are only possible het bloodred.
Susan here on this board has charcoals het bloodred (pewter) listed for sale once they hatch.
Rich Z at Serpenco.com has both types listed as well.

Rich's site is a good source for genetic info, just look through the 2007 listings and read the detailed descriptions of what you are interested in.
They shouldn't be too hard to find online or possibly at a reptile show.
