hi every1. I have just successfully hatched my 1st batch of eggs. 12 out of 22 eggs. Didnt think that was 2 bad. I was just wonderin if ne1 could give me sum advice as none of them have eaten yet. they all hatched between 12 and 7 days ago and are all in the process of shedding. When should i start to worry bout losing them.

First of all congratulations on the pippies and you should wait for them to shed then place them all in deli cups with the food item in a place they won't be disturb and leave them over night luckly they will all eat if it doesn't eat place her back in her cage and try again after 2 or 3 days.

congratulations! If they are in shed, they usually won't eat. They should feed after their first shed, and not before because they are still digesting their yolk nutrients. As Wlreptile said ,try putting them with a pink in a deli tub overnight.Sometimes if babies are housed together they get stressed and won't eat, once you get to 4 wks without eating it is too late, and they will start digesting their own muscles (soft body syndrom) so, if the deli tubs don't work try braining the pink in a few days in the tub. It is best to keep them in the dark, with no noise while trying to feed. Good Luck!
