I have 2 in each viv and they have been together since hatching and are very close but yes have heard that but so far fingers crossed have had no problems

The main reason I don't do it is just because it stresses them out. Of course there are other possible problems too, but I'm sure you've heard that saying, there isn't a problem until there is a problem.

I think if i was to seperate one pair now they would be stressed as they are always together i do check on them very regular

No they are monkfield ones not very high at all which is starting to become a problem as ive read and noticed that they do like to investigate and no room for branches so im now in the process of slowly setting up there new wooden vivs

They won't be stressed by being separated, I promise. Snakes don't show emotions like a dog or a cat, so they do appear to be peacefully living together, but they don't do it in the wild and in an enclosure, they have to compete for resources, which will stress them out.

They're your snakes, however, and it's your choice on how you want to care for them.

While they are eating and shedding i think i will leave them alone and when they go in there new viv they will have branches and 3 hides so if they really dont want to be together they will be able to get away

Dont really know much about the different colour variations of corn snakes and mine seem to be normal mum was what i think is a snow she just seemed very white and dad was like them

After reading alot of threads on this forum i now realise that keeping my corn snakes together is a really bad idea although i have had no problems YET im sure i will in the future :-( and the last thing i wanna do is put myself my corns and my kids through any of the horror stories ive read my biggest problem now is i dont have the room or the finances for 4 larger vivs which means i have to try and make a decision on which 2 to rehome :-( they all have there own personalities and will miss any of them what to do

You know you can keep two of them in plastic tubs! I definitely prefer glass tanks for looks, but if space or money is an issue, you can pick up some cheap tubs. You can stack them or even just slide them under your bed. Just make sure to use enough clips so they're secure.

Thanks for your advice atm i have them in 2 monkfield vivs which are 18" x 12" x 6" i have 2 wooden 3ft vivs im hoping to be fully set up by the weekend so will be able to seperate them then my biggest worry is how long i can keep a seperate corn in the smaller vivs for

I think you could keep them in that size until they are at least a year old. A 20 gallon tank is 30 by 12 by 12, which is appropriate for an adult corn. Yours is over half the size of that, so it should be good for a while.

Thats good to know so i should have some time to try and sort some stuff out and hopefully keep them all :) thanks for your help maybe i should of come on here before getting them 6 months ago and saved myself alot of stress lol
