LOL!!! That has happened to me a few times with my corns. I guess they either think you will try to get them while they are eating or they are just embarrassed.
 
I have to be careful with Inez, too, until she is committed to swallowing. Even leaning over her or putting the lid on may cause her to let go.

lol.. my corn only lets go if it thinks I've got another mouse to give it. it will still be coiled around the first mouse and look up at me like.. "there's more? gimme gimme gimme." what a glutton!

LoL, this is true of about 80% of ours as well! Except our kings, they don't let go for nothing... even if they are just hanging onto the side of the tupperware because they missed, they won't let go... Although, I guess I should say, unless they get distracted by the mouse again.

He sure is looking great though Mike!

glad to know my snakes not the only one. sometimes it grabs and falls out of its box in its excitement to eat.. not just once but twice. like I said .. what a glutton! wish it was a XXXL size corn though.. that would be so neat. But that king is a nice looking snake.. I like the color contrast.. my bad for not saying so in my first post. :grin01:
