Hmmm....
Just curious. My female just finished her pre-lay shed. She had a small snack the other night, and then she went back into her nest box. I woke up in the morning, and there was a small pile of yellow dust on the floor of her tank. It looks like when she poops, but instead of it being the white part of her poop, it was yellow. Also, there was no brown part to the poop present. I know this sounds disgusting, but I am curious about what it is. Has anyone had this happen before? The best I can figure is that it is calcium or something from her body making the eggs. Any ideas?
 
Pretty normal, my female did this just before she layed too...I believe it's just urates, (dried urine). It may be that they're cleaning out the last of their waste in order to facilitate laying. I wouldn't worry over it. Good luck, Kyle
 
Thanks Kyle. I appreciate the insight. She is out of her nestbox now, and she is curled up in the corner of her tank. She hasn't been in the nest box for a day or so now. I hope she lays the eggs soon. I am getting bored of waiting! lol. Oh well.
