I just wanted to share an example of the information out there.Including the books I read they all commented on the docile nature and how the honose makes a great 'beginners snake'.
Perhaps those here that have better insight could make a sticky for new comers and those of us who are old...but new to new species...about the top 5 beginner snakes and which ones to avoid perhaps?
Just an idea.
Thank you to everyone.
After a long night and a 2+ hour discussiont his morning I decided Hubert will stick with us.
The kids will not be able to handle him like they can the corn snakes and their other reptile pets. They were just as interested (to my surprise) to keep him to learn from him as being able to hold him.
Since there is a hognose species here in MN they thought it would be neat to research his species further and write about his behavior etc. like they have been doing with the Scorpion.
