Original Curmudgeon
There is the most gawdawful mewling sound outside. It's freaking my cat out and actually, me, too. I'm almost afraid to go out there in case it's being eaten by something. Wish me luck as I venture outside in my jammies to see what's going on.

It's IN the crawlspace in the basement! Crap! Now what do I do? Thaw a mouselet?

Good morning, Danielle and Rich!! :wavey:

See, there's a pipe coming out of the side of my house and the screening around it has been ripped away, which is obviously how he got in there. It's about a foot off the ground. If I put food out there, the squirrels will likely make off with it before the cat even realizes it's there. I will still do it, though.

You should hear the growling noises this beast is making. It's totally creeping me out. I'm trying to work up the nerve to go to the basement and go into the space behind the furnace to try to lure it out. It's so bloody cold outside, I wouldn't mind him hiding out in there for a bit if it wasn't for the noise he's making!

p.s. I'm not even POSITIVE it's a cat. What if it's some kind of alien rat? :sidestep:

Or it may be some mean, scared raccoon! :D

Good Morning!

Or worse...a bird!!!!

Danielle, are you free? I at least need someone on the phone with me to accomplish this mission. Call me when you can talk. you're totally going into that basement with me!!!!

p.s. Good morning, Tara! I'll keep you posted!!

Thanks for keeping me company in the basement, girl! It WAS a cat...one that I've seen in the neighborhood. He came out quickly with the can of food. Poor little girl. I don't think she's a stray, tho. Too well fed for that. The photos are downloading. I feel so brave!!!!

**bows** Thank you! Thank you! ;)

Here's the little beast that scared the bejeebus out of me! I was happy that I didn't find something disemboweled out there. This I can deal with!

LMAO! I have one puss-puss who is currently recovering from the trauma of this morning. She's all the kitty I can handle! ;) I'll gladly send her to you, and she can be YOUR puss-puss if you'd like?
