I have uth onder the left side of the ten gal my corn snake is in for now . my temp on the ground is 93 on the hot side but six inches off the ground its 80 . I've just recently switched to a lower watt light bulb that's much cooler then the previous my temps befor where 93 consitent all hights of the hot side. my question is , is it ok to have just the grounf on the hot side at 93 or should i be conserned 6 inxhes off the ground is to cool??

Unless your Corn can float six inches off the ground, I wouldn't worry about the air temp! As has been said, if you can get the ground temp down to around the mid-80s, that'll be ideal.
You'll be very surprised at how cool that feels to you. Human core body temp is around 96 - although our skin surface is cooler than that, the mid-80s will still usually only feel lukewarm to us.

If using a lamp, the floor should only be 85 max, but a climbing branch up closer to the lamp with a basking spot of 90 is also ideal, per Kathy Love's book. This gives the snake the option of getting to a warmer spot if it chooses, but doesn't force it to live with that temp on the ground.
