Hey all, after lurking a bit I figure it's about time I start asking some questions as well as siting back and reading. I just picked up my lil corn about a week ago and at this point he is about 16 to 18 inches and around 3 months old. This is my first snake although I do have a bearded dragon so I know some of the basics for care.
Here is my problem/question about his housing. At the moment he is in a 10 gallon tank and had planned on moving him into a 20 gallon long (which the dragon is in now) once I upgrade my dragons tank soon. But after doing some reading around here it seems that many of you think it is better to keep a corn in a rubbermaid type container for better ventilation and what not. I already have the 20 long so I don't have to invest anything there but I would rather spend the tiny amount more on a container if it would make that much of a difference.
So would it be better for the snake to look further into a rubbermaid, or just go with the 20 long?
I would say that sometime in the next 6 months or so I will end up building a custom home for him anyway but I'd like to make sure he is comfortable as possible while I plan and build.
Thanks in advance for any opinions and I'm sure this is only the first of many questions lol. Tim
