OK so I'm not a complete idiot, but nowhere near as knowledgeable as Kathy.
Come on guys, more reps to Kathy, her posts are always excellent...Lets get her to the level a person of that calibre deserves.....

How many posts has Kathy Love made in comparison, anyway? I haven't really paid attention.
 
How do you even know where or from whom you received them? I happened to see one on a post I knew I'd made, but I don't know about the rest.

And I did try to give Kathy a rep point, mostly to thank her for a post, but my point didn't show up on her score. Do you have to be here for a particular length of time before you can give them back?

I don't think the rep points really say how much you know about snakes, as it is more dependent on how many posts you make and popularity and that kind of stuff.. Plus everyone's rep style is different ...I usually rep everybody who compliments a snake of mine or tells me happy birthday or something as a thank you while other people seem to hold their reps until you really "deserve" it in their eyes... I really have always thought the rep thing is silly.
Anyway I have repped Kathy before and also tried to rep Rich Z - who seems to have his set to not go above 100, yet knows more about corn snakes than most of the people with higher numbers... But I will make it a point to rep Kathy again when I can, though!
 
If you look at your User CP, you can see if someone repped you, and if they left a comment. If you try to rep someone twice in a row, you will get a message that says something to the effect of "You have to spread some reputation around before you can rep Roy Munson again!" So sometimes people copy and paste that message, so the person they tried to rep knows they tried.
 
I gave her rep since I have nothing better to do.
I don't know how i got all the rep I got, I'm pretty stupid and all I post is "rubbish".
 
^I don't believe that for a second! You are such a wonderful, wise and humble woman, Kathy. As a complete snake newb, I've learned tons just reading your posts and cavorting around your website. I really need to get your book as well. Thank so much for sharing all your knowledge!
 
Kathy is pretty down to earth in r/l as well.. From the phone conversations I have had with her in the past and a nice chat or two at the Anahiem show, you could not meet a person nicer than she..

However when it comes to rep points, I personally rely on them to measure anything.. Heck, I have been here for quite a few years as a contributor and well a few years before that too.. Even if I had no rep point, my personality makes it easy for me to be popular, for the right or wrong reasons..

Kathy and Rich both deserve stratospheric rep numbers. Rich limits his, but we need to get Kathy's to an appropriate level. She's a living legend! But I rep her pretty frequently. Heck, I think I rep almost everybody pretty frequently. ;)

But I don't like this "rep means nothing" talk. We all know that it is the most reliable indicator of a member's worth! :sidestep:
 
She really does need more rep points!! Think of everything she has done for herpaculture over the years!!! Think of all the morphs!!!
