How long after prelay shed?

Tomorrow will be day 14 after our snake's prelay shed. I've heard people say they should lay between 10-14 days after shedding. I'm trying to be patient, but it is nerve wracking waiting. How long should I wait before seeing a herp? Also are there any outwards signs to indicate if there are any issues?

Her behavior seems normal. She spends a lot of time in the hide box during the day an most of the night out of it. She is pretty active and fairly inquisitive when I am in there checking for eggs. Should I keep waiting, and if so for how long? Thanks.
 
they don't always go by the book, some like to make you wait.

i've heard of a few waiting until around 20 days post shed to finally drop them, try not to worry too much, unless you can see eggs piling up at her vent or a bulge at her vent that doesn't move after a few hours, then worry about her.

i noticed mine were pretty active after shed,other then offering food i left them alone, on day 8-10 for me the all went into hiding and were not active for 24 hours, by 48 hours they were done laying.

i'd keep an eye on here, but try not to bother her unless she's inactive for 24+ hours.
 
One of my girls is on day 13 here. She has been "hunkered down" in her laybox since Saturday. It's all I can do not to scream, tear out my hair and run in the street!
 
I'm still waiting, but less anxious today. We just moved a couple months ago and fortunately our landlords happen to run an exotic animal conservatory (right next door to us). I asked if they could recommend a local vet just in case. Instead they gave me the number of the herpetologist who takes care of their reptiles. So she came over yesterday and checked out our snake and said everything looks fine. It's quite possible the prelay shed, was a preprelay shed as she looks like she may be getting ready to shed again. At this point I'm just glad she's healthy. If we do indeed get a next generation of corns, I'll make sure they all read and memorize the rule book. This individuality is completely unacceptable. ;-)
