I was wondering if it is time to move up to 2 pinks - Paz shed about 2 weeks ago (his first since we got him) and we measured his shed at about 15 1/2 inches. The pet shop said he needs 1 pinkie every 7 days, he seemed hungrier than that so I'm feeding him every 5 days. When will he need more?
I was also wondering if he isn't older than we thought - simply because he was so tame and easy-going when we got him. Is it possible for him to be a 2002 snake born late in the season and underfed somewhat? How big are hatchlings? Just curious!!! :)

I would guess that he is a hatchling from this year, given his size.

As for feeding him more, you can either feed him more often, as you are doing, and/or you can also offer him more food.

I currently feed every 6 days. Try offering two pinkies and see if he wants them. We are now offering two to some of our faster growers. Some eat two and look round for more, some just eat the one, and we throw the other out, but at least they had the option.
