How Was Your Day?

Pet Corn Snake

Hey guys, this is a thread that I hope people can keep coming back too, its always been popular in other forums, and I thought it would be nice :)

So guys, how has your day been?

Today, i started back at school, things went pretty good : ) and i'm rather happy : )

Woke up about an hour ago and have fed the mice and rats and been studying for my management exam in 2 hours. :S

So far, so good. I got to go to work late today because of the snow. Work itself has been pretty easy going ::knock on wood:: and in an hour I will get to go home, clean out the snake tubs, feed them, and just relax for the rest of the night.

Well, the good part is I found Pancho, the bad part is I finally got brave enough to mite-treat Mr William Bonney, who bit my finger and drew blood. Even worse, I spotted a black mite under his chin, so I definately have to treat him again.

Not a bad day, but tiring. Everything that could go wrong at work, did go wrong. Every piece of machinery that could die, did die. Hmmmf.

But on the plus side, the new cabinet for my aquarium was dispatched today. Yay! :)

So far, so fair. Got all the snakes cleaned and fed, need to do laundry yet and figure out what to have for dinner, and the cold medicine hubby got for me (instead of the specific kind I asked him to get) isn't worth poop.

Why don't you try warm medicine? :sidestep:

groaaannn....

:)

also, george, I like this idea for a thread- it'll be nice to hear about the other aspects of all your lives!

my day, my day.....today is our first day back at school after "reading break."

It's actually been decent so far- my classes are none to difficult this term. I do have a paper due thursday though, which is a bit of a kick in the pants.

I've also seen an uncanny amount of aquaintances on campus this morning- normally I won't see anyone i know in between classes, but I saw about 6 or 7 people I know today. Odd.

Also I'm not sure what I'm going to eat for dinner....... I have no food in my house right now, except bread. And well, snake food- but it doesn't really look all that appealing.

Pretty good day. We started this No Regrets thing. In other words sex talk. Had that for 2 periods today and 2 tomorrow then we are done with that.

Other than that, just a regular day.

BTW, nice thread George.

What does sex have to do with No Regrets???

Oh, my Eastern Boxie woke up out of brumation today, and ate four nightcrawlers.

This is my observation today: Why does a life that I previously loved (I'd seriously say that all the time, "I love my life,") seem so unsatisfying now, unchanged except that I am alone?

Oh to be 14 again...

Nanci

Well, I got out of school early today (Kind of stupid, but we get out at 2:30 instead of 3:30 on Mondays), then I got my hair cut WAY too short (she took of 1.5 inches instead of .5 inches, and I only had 2), now all I have is science homework which I don't really feel like doing (plus I would get it all wrong, I wasn't paying attention at all).

Ha Ha Nanci, sometimes you Crack me up! I would really like to be your age, mature, hardly any problems, just get to chill with your snakes, and you get to go bike riding in the sun, i live in a town full of drunks and drugys, and to be 50 would be a amazing thing : )

It was a nice day. I was not really expecting a great day because I work outside and it was snowing, not the nice fluffy kind that sticks but the wet kind that melts. But I managed to make the best of it and I can finally drink beer again - I was taking a medicine that I couldn't take with alcohol, but that's over finally! So I am having a nice IPA and unwinding now

I, on the other hand, would not pick 14. 14 was as....awkward stage in my life.

Now 7?

I'd be seven years old again in a second.

Agreed, I kind of like 20. High school was not a fun time for me. Let's see, today was a pretty typical day, I got up around 8 (got to love a college schedule) tramped across campus to microbiology (pretty good, talked about phlegm for a while) and then made it over to Grimms' Fairy Tales in their European Context. General Education requirements, got to love 'em. After another one of my professor's rants on allegorical interpretations it was off to statistics/nap time. (Hey you would nap too if you were discussing the same level of probability that is taught to second graders!). After a rousing Latin exam I went home and cleaned out the snake tanks and rat cage and had a tasty lunch of tortillas and granola bars. Last class of the day was animal behavior which I'm convinced would be a big hit with the members of this forum, it's pretty cool. And now here I am sitting at work wishing I'd eaten dinner before leaving. Oh well, nothing like some snake pictures to distract a hungry stomach.

Good thread!

Well...I haven't really done much today...or yesterday...or tomorrow...

I am pulling double shifts for the past few days and the next couple of weeks, so I am working from 3pm until 7am 7 nights a week over the next 2 weeks. Needless to say...I get home about 7:30am, and sleep until about 2:30pm, get up, shower, and go back to work. I hate double shifts, but the moeny will be good when it comes in...
