hypo plasma survivor!

jayson rafter

a.k.a Reptile Rafter
this little one (unsexed forever!) is the only one out of 27 eggs to hatch and survivre! here's how...
so im incubating the eggs, all is good 51 days in.52nd day pippy's :wavey: day 55 seven of the eggs had hatched...all seven badly kinked?.
day 58 another one is out, this one though was so tiny i was afraid to even pick him/her up! this one also had a kink.(very end of tail, hardly noticable)but not bad enough i had to put down, little one gets around good!!.
day 59 incubator goes bad???!!! my temp gage said 108deg.!! i knew they were cooked!! unfortunitly i dont check my eggs unless its early in the a.m(good then 83deg.) & late night, dont know when it happended, but somewhere in a 12 hr. period.
to top that all off pinky head's were way too big! so it got little limbs & tails, but this little sucker would not eat! i said o.k 3week & your going down....3 weeks comes up & just for the heck of it lets try a tail only & bam!! next thing i know tails gone:dancer:
little one has 2 meals with limbs & tails,3rd meal head,& now up to the tinyist of pinky's. it has also shed twice.
pic was taken after his/hers first ''whole'' pinky.
1 month & 1 week from hatching.
enjoy!
~Jay

it's a cutie! and a survivor for sure. sorry to hear about all the misfortunes leading up to it...any chance the incubator was already having temp issues that might have caused all the kinks? yet another reason i'm happy to wait a little longer and use our 80 degree "room temp".

i thought that too,but i check everyday(not all day) but at least once!!,
& last year half of my lavenders ''projects'' all had kink's!! im convinced it's the lavender gene,iv'e seen alot of kinked lavenders & i have no idea what causes it. it's always the lavs ?...outta 200+ eggs a year (minus my last couple clutches this year) all came out fine.last year too.but again 50% of only the lavs came out kinked?.
